Local couple Jen and Brian had planned the destination wedding of their dreams in Las Vegas. A handful of their family and friends were able to attend the ceremony, but the majority were unable to make the trip. Jen and Brian really wanted to be able to celebrate with everyone close to them, so they began the search for a venue to host a beautiful reception in Ottawa. They didn’t have to look for very long before they found The Bottle House!
The newlyweds wanted a cozy, at-home feel for their reception. Tables were decorated with burlap square centerpieces, topped with blue mason jars and sticks with photos of the happy couple. Turner Flowers provided the floral arrangements for the reception.
Everyone knows that Kansas is infamous for our barbecue, so what better way to make guests feel at home than with a delicious BBQ dinner? ACA Catering provided a mouthwatering BBQ menu and beautiful fruit display, which everyone devoured as they watched a slideshow of Jen and Brian’s Las Vegas wedding on our massive projector screens. Jen’s sister, Amanda Logan, is the owner of Farmhouse Baker, and she created an amazing display of delicious desserts for guests to enjoy.
Just when everyone thought the day couldn’t get any better, Jen had a big surprise for her new husband. She brought out a special guest – Baby Jay from the University of Kansas! Baby Jay stopped in to wish the happy couple congratulations.
We were so happy to help Jen and Brian celebrate their union with those they love most, right here in the heart of Ottawa. Congrats, Mr. and Mrs. Trussel!
